Ternate – North Maluku

Ternate is an island in the Maluku Islands (Moluccas) of eastern Indonesia. It was the center of the former Sultanate of Ternate. It is off the west coast of the larger island of Halmahera.

Like its neighbouring island, Tidore, Ternate is a visually dramatic cone-shape. The two are ancient Islamic sultanates (Ternate’s Sultanate and Tidore‘s) with a long history of bitter rivalry. The islands were once the world’s single major producer of cloves,[2] a commodity that allowed their sultans to become amongst the wealthiest and most powerful of all sultans in the Indonesian region. In the precolonial era, Ternate was the dominant political and economic power over most of the “Spice Islands” of Maluku.

Today, Ternate City is the largest town in the province of North Maluku, within which the island constitutes a municipality (kotamadya). It is, however, no longer the provincial capital, a title now held by the town of Sofifi on Halmahera.

Kendari – Southeast Sulawesi

Kendari is the capital of the Indonesian province of Southeast Sulawesi. The city lies along Kendari Bay. Moramo Waterfall is located 65 km east of Kendari. The city has a population of 314,812 at the 2010 Census,[1] making it the fourth-largest city in Sulawesi, behind MakassarManado, and Palu. In kendari we met with Mr.Usman, he was a very remarkable driver, he told his life experiences to me and doni.

And these are moments that can not be forgotten

Bokori Island was once a village for the Bajo tribe. As the population grew there, the Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi in the mid-80s under the governor of Alala began to move the islanders to the mainland. Before “abandoned”, Bokori Island actually has long been developed into a tourist attraction in Southeast Sulawesi. In the reign of La Ode Kaimoeddin, this island had triumphed as one of the mainstay of maritime attractions Anoa earth, the nickname for another Southeast Sulawesi.

And here are some pictures of the island of Bokori

Pontianak –  West Kalimantan

The Landmark of Pontianak

Kota Pontianak is the capital of the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan, founded by Syarif Abdurrahman Alkadrie as a capital of Sultanate of Kadriyah ( Kesultanan Kadriyah ) in 23 Oktober 1771 / 14 Rajab 1185 Hijriah. Syarif Abdurrahman Alkadrie developed Pontianak as a trading port on the island of Borneo, occupying an area of 107.82 km² in the delta of the Kapuas River. It is located precisely on the equator, hence it is widely known as Kota Khatulistiwa (Equatorial City). The city center is actually less than 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of the equator.
